A proud day for APMT as students of the Certificate III in Community Health (CHHA 3001) – Addressing HIV & AIDS in Fiji celebrated their graduation today at Novotel Suva Lami Bay.

We were honoured to welcome Dr Sailosi Soqo, Principal Medical Officer for Harm Reduction and Drug User Health at the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, as Chief Guest. Dr Soqo encouraged Fijians to learn more about healthy living and highlighted the importance of supporting members of our communities affected by HIV.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from Fiji’s education and health sectors, including Rokobua Naiyaga, Chairperson of the Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC), and Dr Eci Naisele, Director. APMT also welcomed representatives from the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) and thanked them for their support in providing financial assistance to the eligible students.

Most importantly, today belonged to our graduates. Through their studies, they have gained knowledge and skills that can help strengthen HIV awareness, prevention and support at the community level.

Congratulations to every graduate. As you take what you have learned back into your communities, we hope you will become informed and compassionate voices in Fiji’s response to HIV & AIDS.
